Why I won’t forget your name:

1. It’s such a special name. It’s common, but it’s a part of you. You’re special. So is your name.

2. Whenever I meet other men who share your name, I only think of you.

3. Your name holds all of our memories, and all of your traits. There is so much weight to your name. Just seeing it written someplace else will bring everything back.

4. Whenever a song comes on, one that we would listen to, I replace all the “you’s” with your name.

5. I sometimes write your name instead of my own on papers when I daydream.

6. I have written your name so many times, I’ve said it out loud so many more. It comes out so easily now. Like habit.

7. Because it’s yours. I can’t forget you.
