Elizabeth

Báthory. She is often compared with Vlad III the Impaler and nicknamed The Blood Countess/Countess Dracula. Said to have been very beautiful in her youth, she turned to witchcraft to retain her youth as she grew older. She was advised to bathe in the blood of virgins at the ‘magical hour’ of four in the morning and when it didn’t work, she turned to other methods of torture for sadistic pleasure. It’s said she would jam pins and needles under the fingernails of her victims, often bit chunks of flesh from them, and sometimes smeared them with honey to leave them for the bees and ants.

Báthory

has been labeled by the Guinness Book of World Records as the most prolific female murderer. She was eventually put on trial for the murder of 80 young girls, but it’s said she killed plenty more (over 650).
