I know dozens of lesbians who once identified as bisexual women because they felt like that was safer or easier and I know dozens of bisexual women who previously identified as lesbians for much the same reasons.
Maybe this should tell us that we need to listen to each other. Maybe we should each stop assuming to be the experts on the others lives. Maybe, just maybe, we should think how heteropatriachy weaponizes us against each other without letting either of us be winners.
